Holy Spit is a short and challenging 2D pixel art boss fight game inspired by Cuphead.
You play as a Moroccan guy who's finally had enough of the spicy hot pepper plant that ruins every family dinner. Armed with nothing but his holy spitballs and years of pain, he's ready to fight back.

The Story

Every Friday dinner, he suffers. Every bite, a burn. The source?
A vicious, tongue-scorching pepper plant growing in the family garden.
But tonight, the tables turn.

Play as a Moroccan fighter who’s mastered the ancient art of holy spit combat — channeling years of dinner pain into focused spitball attacks. Face off against a grotesque, brain-controlled plant vase boss atop a cut wooden stump, in a pixelated backyard battlefield.

Gameplay

Holy Spit is a fast-paced, tough-but-fair boss battle where you must dodge, dash, and strike at the right moment. One wrong move, and your tongue’s toast. 

The game is short and intense — you can beat it in about 2 minutes, but it may take multiple tries. You’ll need to learn patterns, perfect your dodges, and choose the right attack at the right time.

• ← / → : Move

• ↑ / Space : Jump

• X : Spit Attack

• Z : Swap Attack Mode

• Shift : Dash

• Esc : Open Key Binds & Instructions

Development Notes 

This game was created solo by Omer Elhadad over the course of one intense month.
The focus was on building a unique vibe, environment, and tight combat loop — all while experimenting with fun, expressive mechanics.
